Runyan99
I have started a PBEM under 1.04 and am enjoying it so far, but still am frustrated with the command interface. Case in point. Most of the time, the K key is Hunt. Except if you are on the wrong tab, then it becomes a Bail Out command. Oh that's real convenient! So, I inadvertently told one of my MGS teams to bail out and walk on foot towards the enemy, instead of moving the vehicle forward. Please, I need the keys to do always one thing, regardless of that interface thing on the lower right of the screen.
stikkypixie
Have you read the instructions on using hotkeys? You can edit the hotkey.txt in your data folder to whatever you want.
molotov_billy
Edit your key config text, remove the key bindings for the various tabs. Assign a specific key for each action. Works really well, for me.
Runyan99
That's what I figured you all would say. I guess I will reconfigure them, but the fact that I need to makes me unhappy.

Sure, the keys should be an option within the game itself, and most might admit that the default setup/UI is a bit clunky. It's only a couple of minutes to edit the text file, though, and trust me, you'll be glad you did. Let us know if you need any help - I can send you mine as an example.

Happy?

I don't use the relative ones at all, so if you do, you're out of luck with mine, sorry.
Holman
Here are mine. This setup keeps the original camera movement keys and sets other commands generally relative to their position in the on-screen menu.
