Banefht
Hey, hope someone can help:) This just started happening recently(last couple of weeks). When I get an PBEM file and I go to open it, it just goes "bing"(that funky error sound), but gives me no error message, I dont even see the password screen. Now, this only happens every once in awhile on some games, and when my opponent resends it, somtimes it works....any ideas? thanks for any help, oh, and BTS, keep up the good work:) HI SUPERTED:)
kburns24
I know exactly what caused this when it happened to me. I was not letting the PBEM file itself completely finish unloading from the e-mail server when I would save it. Especially the big PBEM files, then it dawned on me. I now scroll to the bottom of the PBEM file just to make sure it finished before I save it. This should solve your problem.
Banefht
ok, I know what you are saying, but I have outlook express, and I dont do anything to stop the downloading, ect...I just sit and wait till it tells me it is done....
Schrullenhaft
I'd suggest that you have your opponents start zipping/compressing their PBEM files. This should help prevent corruption and other errors involved with retrieving PBEM files (plus they're smaller to boot). Of course you'll need to decompress the file before loading it in CMBO.

kmead
With Express, once the file size gets above 500kb it starts to screw up the text file. As detailed above, compressing it as a zip or hqx file will take care of the problem.
