Sivodsi
This video is a very moving story what's going on in Afganistan from an embedded guardian journalist. Its not particularly relevant, but it has some interesting shots of uparmored Humvees and other equipment.
MikeyD
Last Friday I surfed over to my old reliable ARMY.MIL/IMAGES site to locate references and found... NOTHING! And I mean nothing - No Humvee shots, no Bradley, no Stryker. I trolled through some 30,000+ images 20 at a time from most recent on back. I found more shot of beauty pageants than of the Iraq war. The site was even missing those ubiquitous shots of smiling Iraqi children gathered around infantry that were always getting posting. It was just plain spooky. There were a few MRAPs photos up at least. I guess they don't mind getting publicity on MRAPS. I'm glad to see someone out there remembers we're still in a war.
Potential Italian Player
Good piece of journalism thanks for sharing. Yep sadly but it is forgotten war... 173d Airborne Brigade is based at Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, North Italy. These are great guys, like ISAF other's troops. They are doing something to remember. IED are the same damn traps seen during Soviet-Afghan War... That place is a hell

Bigduke6
The guy's site has a link to a description of the firefight where he got shot. It's worth reading.
