Incredible: Javelin and Stryker friendly fire!!!

Recommended Posts

It never happened to me.

Yesterday an infantry unit opened fire twice against a M1A1! They immobilized it. They had no order, and both the tank and the squad where in chain of command.

In the same mission (The Palace, The Ghost campaign) a Stryker opened fire against my infantry on a hill.

I'm using version 1.08...

What happened? I have the save file.

Did it happen to be dawn, dusk or night...?

Were there other troops friendly firing w/ small arms?

I have had it happen before.

Yesterday I noticed something like this while playing 4th campaign mission. It's town assault at dawn. Several times my infantry and Stryker Inf carrier opened fire at each other, it was pretty unefective fire like one squad member fire 2-3 rifle rounds at distant building ocupied by friendly infantry. I thought it was some sort of bug. Didnt know there is ff in CMSF, I like this game more and more everyday :D

Dawn, good visibility, the tanks where in open sight... about 500m I think. The squad was on the roof of a building, the tanks on a road.

The only other troop friendly firing was a lone Stryker against an infantry squad, located on a hill, about 800m away.

Yes, early dawn I think. But the situation was incredible, because the Abrams were still in open sight since 15 minutes, firing from time to time; and my troops were there on the roof since 10 minutes as well.

I have the save game at home, I will send it this evening.
