Lever01
Yep, same problem here except I have a 9500. What could the problem be? Anyone?
MAsta_KFC
Isn't that a problem with most of the ATI cards? It happens to me when I turn on ani+FSAA. The only way to stop it I think is turn of FSAA. But if anyone has a solution, please do tell. I've got 9700 pro.
MAsta_KFC
For the blank scenario screen, you're gonna have to alt-tab out, then back in again. As for the white text when FSAA is on, I haven't been able to find a solution yet.
MrNoobie
i had a 9700 pro before this and i never had a problem before. i was able to turn on the ani and the FSAA with no problems, nice and sharp crisp graphics. EDIT: you posted when i posted, i will try the alt-tab trick EDIT EDIT: goody it works, thanx for the alt-tab trick [ May 02, 2003, 08:33 PM: Message edited by: MrNoobie ]
Lever01
Yes, the alt-tab thing works for the scenarios but does not take care of the whited-out text problem. And the lost text is crucial for gameplay, because it includes the unit strength (casualty) number, the ammo figure, the turn numer, etc. Funny because I did not have this problem with my 9500 until I tweaked with it a bit. I'll try to tweak it back to where it was before the problems.
Lever01
By the way, what is "FSAA" and "ani"?

MAsta_KFC
Mr Noobie, was that with cat 3.1 or cat 3.2s? Could you do me a favor and ask your bro how he managed to get the FSAA working properly? Did he use any specific progs/settings? Thanks. BTW I'm using win2k, sp 3, cat 3.2, dx 9.0a. Thanks again.
Tinhead
Hi, I'm using a 9700 and have the same annoying problem when I turn on FSAA... Very sad, all other games work fine. Anyway, I found a little fix, which is not a thing of beauty but it might be refined.. In the .bmp-folder of CMBB there are three files (think they're called 1.bmp, 2.bmp + 3.bmp), depicting just alphabets and characters. Those are used to display text ingame. I edited the background color to magenta, hoping it would be interpreted as transparent - which it wasn't - but at least the text ingame had a magenta background and was readable. As I said, it it not a thing of beauty, but maybe someone tries fiddling with the colors a bit? I can't find the time at the moment.

MAsta_KFC
You're a genius Tinhead!! Finally a fix (temporary I hope) for a long standing annoyance!!
Tinhead
Thanks for the praise... Glad, it works for you... Maybe magenta is not the nicest color, though... (OK, MrNoobie already remedied that...) phil stanbridge
Does this mean we can use FSAA with CMBB now?
Tinhead
Yes, it does! Try it out. MrNoobie made a nice toned down blue color as background. Works ok, as MAsta_KFC pointed out, hopefully a temporary fix..
