  1. Unfortunately, it wasn't fixed for me. Had my hopes high... I have a 9700 non-pro, using latest Omega drivers (4.3). Cheers Tinhead
  2. That is great news!!! Finally. Can't wait to get home. Did they also fix the fog problem? (I know it's never gonna happen) cheers Tinhead
  3. Hey! You asked my question! Beat me here. I too would like to know, if someone already tried them (and give thumbs up for the AA problem). I'm stuck at work and look forward to try them out myself. Cheers, Tinhead [ September 05, 2003, 04:05 AM: Message edited by: Tinhead ]
  4. Just dropped one. Good tip. I gather ATI is viewing into those filed bugs? Seems there's quite some activity on that board... Well, for the lazy folks, here's the link to the board, do a search for "combat mission". So, drop a line to spyre so we get our CM fixed. regards [ July 24, 2003, 10:17 AM: Message edited by: Tinhead ]
  5. I tried them recently in a QB. It worked fantastic. I advanced the ampulomet to the edge of some trees, just in range from the bunker and needed two or three shots and the bunker-crew bailed out. regards
  6. I had the Problem with my Radeon 9700 (not PRO), whenever I used FSAA. After I hit the 'Play'-button I couldn't see any scenarios or savegames in the menu. After I Alt-Tabbed out and back in, it was ok. That problem I also had with my Geforce 4200. The other problem - discussed to great length here already in several threads - being that most text in game (3D) has white blocks around it. The problem is, that the text is also white... When I consider it now, I realise that actually with the new drivers the text was readable...hmm. Gotta check that again. Ok, just checked - most of the text still white on white... Regards [ July 20, 2003, 06:46 AM: Message edited by: Tinhead ]
  7. Hi all, just tried the new 3.6 Catalyst from ATI and indeed they fixed something. When you enable anti-aliasing you can now read the text in the main menu without Alt-Tabbing out and in. The bad text in game and the fog-prob is still not fixed, despite my urgent mail, I sent.. A small enough improvement, but still... regards
  8. Nice ones! Finally some of the missing winter vehicles... Thanx, jst dl'ed them. Real nicely done.
  9. Very nice again, I just saw a live one today in the Panzermuseum, the dusty one looks exactly like it..
  10. Someone tried that and it did work. You can download the edited file at CM Mod Database It does in fact look a little bit ugly (nothing against MrNoobie's choice of color ), but you get used to it after a while. [ June 14, 2003, 06:52 AM: Message edited by: Tinhead ]
  11. Yes, it does! Try it out. MrNoobie made a nice toned down blue color as background. Works ok, as MAsta_KFC pointed out, hopefully a temporary fix..
  12. Thanks for the praise... Glad, it works for you... Maybe magenta is not the nicest color, though... (OK, MrNoobie already remedied that...) [ May 06, 2003, 06:30 AM: Message edited by: Tinhead ]
  13. Hi, I'm using a 9700 and have the same annoying problem when I turn on FSAA... Very sad, all other games work fine. Anyway, I found a little fix, which is not a thing of beauty but it might be refined.. In the .bmp-folder of CMBB there are three files (think they're called 1.bmp, 2.bmp + 3.bmp), depicting just alphabets and characters. Those are used to display text ingame. I edited the background color to magenta, hoping it would be interpreted as transparent - which it wasn't - but at least the text ingame had a magenta background and was readable. As I said, it it not a thing of beauty, but maybe someone tries fiddling with the colors a bit? I can't find the time at the moment.
  14. Really a good idea, I will try that as well when I get home from work. Do you think any of the modders (apart from MrNoobie, who definitely warmed to that idea.. ) would mind having their mods shared? I don't wanna step on someone's toes... Will let you know, if something shows up regards, Tinhead [ January 30, 2003, 11:50 AM: Message edited by: Tinhead ]
