skelley
Why are there so few different ways to connect roads? If you use a diagonal road you are screwed because there is no way to connect 2 diagonal roads like there was in CMX1. Will there be any new tiles added or are we stuck with this due to coding issues?
birdstrike
There is a Y-shaped tile that does the trick, even if it doesn't look like it. It's sometimes a bit tedious to find the right angle, but it works.
MarkEzra
Hi Skelly: I've sent you an email with a graphic "how to" for diagnoal road construction
skelley
Thanks Mark but I am trying to make crossroads, and 2 diagonal roads can't cross. In CMX1 there was just about every conceivable crossing included in the tiles and now there are few.
Hawkmek
Yes, road building seems to be a subgame in itself. Kind of like a more frustrating Tetris. I wish we could click and drag or copy map objects.
birdstrike
like here? (right is diagonal) Use the Y-shaped tiles and put two of them together.
skelley
Thanks Birdstrike. I would have never guessed that was a crossroad
Statisoris
I wish gutters or ditches were some kind of integrated option for roads of all types, it would just look cooler than plopping the current trench tool.
