Duro
Make it able to build fortifications/bunkers so you can actually defend your own country from other invaders. the_cro4u@hotmail.com
Roosevelt45
You will be able to buld fortifications in SC2. Not only in the editor but in the game as well.
Liam
Fortifications should be expensive and lengthy to build...
With Clusters
And costly to maintain perhaps (consider part of the cost a small caretaker garrison not represented by a unit)?
ev
Originally posted by With Clusters: And costly to maintain perhaps (consider part of the cost a small caretaker garrison not represented by a unit)? SC1 did not ascribe costs to the maintainance of units... whether they remain static or whether they moved. A tank unit could move 250 miles without spending a drop of gas ...talk about altenative fuels and renewable resources. SC1 ascribed costs only when "operating" a unit or when reinforcing losses as a result from combat. Are there any plans to incorporate upkeeping costs in SC2. I think this would be a nice idea. But, I also understand the need to keep things simple.
initpaul
With Fortifications in mind, how will this affect later game scenarios such as D-Day and Crossing the Rhine? I am speaking in the context of Germany having built the Atlantic and Siegfried Walls respectively. Will these exist if a player wants to start a later campaign? Hubert Cater
Each campaign will have *an* appropriate setup of territory, units, resources, fortification lines etc. for the time period being represented. Hope this helps, Hubert
