Hubert Cater
With all the recent forum activity and in case this has been missed Matt just posted some info on the new demo that has just been released: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=34;t=001101;p=2#000045 I just wanted to add that for those that were having unit mirroring graphical glitches this demo should resolve that issue and this will of course also be a part of the first eventual patch. Not all mirrors have the new demo up just yet but hopefully by the end of the day. Also, for those that did encounter the unit graphical glitch in 3-D mode, if you do download the new demo please confirm that this resolves the issue for you. Thanks, Hubert
Madmatt
As of right now, these servers all have the updated demo: * GameZone http://downloads.gamezone.com/demos/d15370.htm * GamersHell http://www.gamershell.com/download_13314.shtml * 3D Downloads http://www.3ddownloads.com/Strategy/Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg/Demo/Strategic_Command_2_Blitzkrieg_Demo.exe * Strategy Informer http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/strategiccommand2blitzkrieg/demo/5101.html * Worthplaying http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=33396 I removed the links to the sites that still had the old demo. junk2drive
I downloaded the new one from gamershell on a West coast link. Fast. The tutorial page really helps someone like me that has not played this type of game before. The large manual was daunting. I tried the demo as Allies before the manual came out. Just to watch the AI attack. I found the UI to be intuitive and the graphics pleasant.
Timskorn
Does this mean a patch for the full version is forthcoming??

imported_Rick_Allen
Hubert, While waiting for in line to download the game, I downloaded the new demo and played it through. It does indeed resolve the graphics problems I was experiencing. A similar patch should definitely be applied to the game itself. Rick
imported_Rick_Allen
Also, just to let you know, I have fairly low end computer: 256 ram 32 meg video card. It works fine for me. I'll let you know how the bigger scenarios run. Rick

sonnenwalde
I'm running the game with 512 ram with a 128 Mb video card. I was suprised to encounter the mirroring problem as the PC is almost brand new. Having just downloaded the new Demo however, I can confirm that the 3D sprites are looking good and facing in the right direction.
Hubert Cater
Ok great and yes this was an odd error as it seems that some video cards just don't support, for whatever reason, the DirectX mirroring command (as they should) so I just decided to skip it entirely by using a second set of mirrored units in the bitmaps folder. Joe98
I downloaded the demo from Gamers Hell from the link above. How do I begin the tutorial? How do I get to the manual?
pzgndr
The User Manual and tutorial are pdf files in the demo directory.
