  1. As I will not be able to purchase any updates until sometime next year, I was wondering if any of the scenario designers out there are planning to update any of their outstanding scenarios to 1.09?
  2. Thanks Hubert. Also, for any designers out there who may still be designing for SC2. I hope you can find time to update your scenarios for SC2 (version 1.09). It will probably be quite a while before I'll be able to afford WAW. Rick
  3. For those of us who are currently economically challenged and have not been able to get WAW, are some of the older scenarios for SC2 campatible with Patch 1.09? Rick
  4. False alarm. After you load in all the patches it works fine.
  5. I went in and turned off the User Access Account and re-installed the game. Now I'm getting an error message saying it can't find Direct X 7 or higher. Anyone know how to deal with that one? Rick
  6. Thanks. It seems I didn't isolate the cities sufficiently. As far as Tobruk is concerned, the supply situation is probably more realistic then we give it credit for. It looks like I'll have to play a couple of games without a beer in my hand. Well, maybe I'll switch to Guiness for a couple of games. Rick
  7. Rebuilding Units In Surrounded Cities and North African Supply for the Allies I'm playing the Advanced Third Reich scenario (playing the Allies, it's Feb 1944, Berlin has fallen, Germany has moved it's capital to Munich) I apologize in advance if the questions I'm about to ask have already been answered in another thread. 1. When a city is surrounded why is the garrison unit allowed to be rebuilt to full strength? 2. When attacking Tobrok (sp?) in North Africa I cannot maintain supplies long enough to take the city. Any advice?
  8. Blashy, Is this MOD only to be played as the Axis against the Allied AI, or has it been modified such that a player can play the Allied against the Axis AI?
  9. I've been playing Honch's Expanded Scenario and cannot seem to figure out how to take port that is not attached to a city. Can anyone help?
  10. Honch, Very good scenario by the way. I do have a couple of questions: In the version before Version 4, when Germany defeated Poland, the Russian did not annex Eastern Poland. Has this been resolved in your new version? Also, how do you capture a port not attached to a city?
  11. Ships/fleets at sea suffer damage from storms. Couldn't a similar script be applied in an attrition situation? Rick
  12. Honch, I downloaded your scenario and as I was opening to play it an error message came up (I'll have to open it again to get the exact message). Not being that computer literate I have to ask, is there a file I should have moved to a different folder? I unzipped everything to the Campaigns folder.
  13. That explains it. Sorry about that. They are the ACW, 1870, Napoleonic unit sprites. For some reason I thought they were ready to go. My bad.
  14. I downloaded and unziped the unit-sprites in the "bitmap" file, but don't show up when I open the editor. Are they suppose to go in the bitmap file, or did I make a mistake? Also, what I do with the modeler Kit? Is this something extra, or do I need it for modding the new files?
  15. Also, just to let you know, I have fairly low end computer: 256 ram 32 meg video card. It works fine for me. I'll let you know how the bigger scenarios run. Rick
  16. Hubert, While waiting for in line to download the game, I downloaded the new demo and played it through. It does indeed resolve the graphics problems I was experiencing. A similar patch should definitely be applied to the game itself. Rick
  17. I've pre-ordered this, I had to it was too compelling to not to. However, I do have a question. Is it possible to create and add 3d icons? And if yes, I would be forever grateful if someone would show me how. You see, eventhough I love the Russin front and WWII, I also like those silly little wars of the 18th and 19th Century. Rick
  18. Will the SC2 still use the telescopic time approach, or, with the advent of the new weather events, will it be changed to a more standard - monthly, bi-quarterly, etc. type of turn sequence?
