Satchel Charges question

I saw my Soviet engineers assault a German schreck-team while in the same building, but with the Germans in the upper floor. They just threw the satchel charge up through the ceiling, and the Germans blew to bits. I guess it was an abstraction of "run up stairs, throw satchel charge, run down stairs like hell with fingers in ears".

Actually it was an abstraction of the following:

Scene I:

Heroic pioneer squad of the Red Army of workers and peasants in a large building. Artillery shells explode outside.

German voices and MG fire is heard from above.

Serg.Iwanov: "Ha! There are some Hitlerites hiding on the second floor, let's give them a present from comrade Stalin!"

Priv.Chenya: "Comrade, give me the chance to slay the fascist beasts with this satchel charge!"

Priv.Borissow: "Pjotr Alexandrowitsch, this is a brave offer in the best tradition of the heroic defenders of Stalingrad! Have a sip of Vodka here."

Priv.Chenya: "Thank you Iwan Stepanovich. And if I get killed in this act of defense of the motherland, please send my wife and children this letter. Za Rodina!"

The squad begins to sing the soviet national anthem. A red banner is unfurled, Priv. Chenya takes the satchel charge and runs up the stairs, a vision of his beloved Tanya in his mind as he hurls the explosives into a group of totally surprised German soldiers.

Oh my God, that is so beautiful and poetic. Of course,Pjotr Alexandrowitsch is doing only what every good Socialist should do - to do any other way would require one to ship oneself to Kolyma to further study the Great Historical Dialectic as it was propounded by Lenin and Marx and as it was refined by the Great Stalin.

Would he be sent to Kolyma before or after the involuntary purchase of a 9mm bullet?
