KursruK
Hey man, help a rookie out. I (badly) need this strategy guide, and it says I need cookies to order it online. I don't have "cookies". Do what the hell are cookies and how do I get them? Thanks gents.
MikeyD
I'm stumped. Cookies are usually a term for files dropped on your computer by a website. Every time you return to that website the cookie wil be updated/referenced by the website. Don't know what that would have to do with ordering the book though. Len
"Cookies" are little files stored on your PC by websites when you browse using Internet Explorer. To check/change the setting, start Internet Explorer, go to "Tools" menu . . . Internet Options . . .Privacy. Regards, Len
Terrapin
This happened to me too, and I usually have no problem. I had to go into Tools>Internet Options>Privacy, and put my security down to "LOW" from "MEDIUM", and it worked. Afterwards, put it back to whatever it used to be. Hertston
Yup, that works. What puzzles me is that XP anyway (can't remember if W98 did) has the option to enter specific websites where cookies are always allowed, but that doesn't seem to work. Ordered now, anyway. Glad to see with their distribution set up UK posrage is the same as US postage. Make you wonder why they bothered with cdv...
