It seems to be when we are hooked up to the internet (not playing each other) Can anyone shed some light on this problem for me. Schrullenhaft Posted February 17, 2005 Share Posted February 17, 2005 Perhaps you have some utilities in the background that update/communicate over your internet connection. You may also have 'spyware/malware' loaded up on your computer and it could be downloading all sorts of malicious and useless junk. If you're not playing a TCP/IP game, CM couldn't care less if you're hooked up to the Internet or not. It doesn't do any extraneous communication with any server, etc. It just talks to another client via direct IP address. If your problem is more detailed than this, go ahead and provide more details here. I have quite a good firewall and i run a spyware programe every time i start my computer, so i don't think it's that.
