Moonfog
Hi all I don't know whether this has been brought up before (did a search but with no result). In CMBB the top speed for a german Kübelwagen is indicated as 25miles/h (in the unit screen). A truck's top speed is 45miles/h. If you set up a race between a Kübelwagen and a truck on a flat paved road, the truck wins every time. So it seems that the 25miles/h for a Kübelwagen are fixed in the code and not only a typo in the unit screen. In CMBO the Kübelwagen's top speed was 55miles/h, a truck's as in CMBB 45miles/h. Is this a bug/code typo in CMBB or were the Kübelwagen on the eastern front really that much slower than the ones on the western front??? bowman74
Despite the fact that the Kübelwagen had a ~900cc engine, I can tell you that it goes faster than 25mph on a paved road. Thanks, Kevin
Vergeltungswaffe
Perhaps driving a Kubelwagen cross-country from Germany to The Soviet Union has a deleterious effect on its velocity. (Laden or unladen)
Michael Dorosh
Come to think of it, I thought CMBB was supposed to have codouroy roads in it? Does it, and I've somehow not seen them yet?
Madmatt
I will have Charles look into this. It does appear odd. Cordouroy roads were planned but left out in the end. Madmatt
