  1. Are you sure of this? I always thought encountering the enemy while moving to contact deletes all further waypoints. A unit reversing out of harm's way could also be the TacAI kicking in.
  2. That would be fun, flying Ahnenerbe-SPWs armed with laser guns.
  3. Hi Drescher, IMHO, the "Kriegstagebuch des Oberkommandos der Wehrmacht / Wehrmachtführungsstab" is a must have. The edition from Weltbild Verlag covers the OKW war diary from 1940 to 1945, mostly day by day. The editor, Percy E. Schramm, served as a Major in the Wehrmachtführungsstab and was (at least in 1943) responsible for writing the war diary. All in all, I think it's a good source for a very good price. Regards Moonfog
  4. My free copy of the strategy guide arrived today here in Switzerland. Thanks a lot BFC, great customer service!
  5. Walpurgis Night be aware that the list you linked at contains some spelling errors. The ranks of Major and Lieutenant-Colonel are indicated as Sturmbahnführer/Obersturmbahnführer (which would be something like "assault train leader") instead of Sturmbann- and Obersturmbannführer. Just in case your friend decides to use one of these ranks in his book. Regards Ray
  6. Eipä kestä. (most certainly with spelling error because it should have three "ä" in a row!? )
  7. D'OH! I forgot that gmx is a german corp and it looks like they don't offer an english service, too. Sorry.
  8. Give GMX FreeMail here a try. It allows attachements up to 10MB compared to the 1Mb(?) with hotmail and other free accounts.
  9. The OKW war diary (Kriegstagebuch des OKW) also locates 10th Panzer south of Roslawl on september 23th. The division seems to have been attached to 4th Army at that moment. According to the diary, 4th Army repelled a small scale soviet attack at Potschep on september 19th but no indication whether 10th Panzer was involved or not. After that date there's no action mentioned except recon skirmishes and Artillery duells. So, according to that one source, it doesn't seem 10th Panzer was involved in a fight on september 20th. Not much, but all I found.
  10. FWIW, I'd say that's "young" Hitler on the first picture (pre 1939) b/c he's wearing a SA/Nazi party uniform. As far as I know, he didn't put his brown shirt on after the war had started but field grey stuff.
  11. Rebus_Badger, with 64.9 Megs it looks like you downloaded the CDV-patch. The BFC-patch for the US version of the game should only be something around 25MB IIRC. [ November 22, 2002, 09:55 AM: Message edited by: moonfog ]
  12. For once the CDV-forum was faster than this one. I had to manually change the registry of my installed CDV-software. No more problems with the install and the game runs fine again. Thanks
  13. Nope, still doesn't work. Thanks anyway. I thought it could be a corrupted download, but I downloaded it three times now and always got an error/crash
  14. The original disk is in drive E: since the day I got CMBB. The setup manager proposes to click "retry/wiederholen" to change the target directory. But when I click it, the setup crashes.
