Brian
I'm not sure if this the right place but here goes. Is there a theoretical limit on the numbers of buildings that a given map can display? I'm presently working on a scenario which involves a regional city. I've completed that part of the map and it contains a very large number of buildings, of all kinds. However, when I save the scenario and come back to it later, I keep finding some buildings missing. This afternoon, while working on it again, I placed a two extra buildings and then when went to look at them in the preview, only one of the two buildings was displayed. I went back to the map view and checked, and yes, both buildings appear there but again, in the preview, only one appears. Is this a known limitation/bug/problem/"feature" a'la Micro$oft? ?
SuperTed
Brian, You are most likely trying to place buildings on a slope that can't support them.

Flat or nearly so, ground. It just seems that I've reached the limit on the number of buildings, thats all. I was just wondering if there was one or could it be a function of how much RAM I have or perhaps a limitation in the program.
kmead
To follow up, sometimes when buildings are placed on transitions from one elevation to another if the change is too great the building won't display. I too have had this occur and I suse a Mac so we cannot blame MS for this.
RobH
Check out the map "Klein Maastricht" on Der Kessel and you will realise there is no limit to the number of buildings you can display. The only reason I know of for their disappearance is, as others have said, you are changing levels on the map either under or around the buiding. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!
Jarmo
Has happened to me too. Seems to be only with tall heavy buildings. I place the building, everything looks good, the building disappears after entering the preview.
