86smopuim
Alot of guns all have L/xx designation I have forgotten what this means, please do tell.
Warmaker
"L" refers to the barrel length of the main gun. Longer barrelled guns are usually a very good thing for extended ranged plinking (in a nutshell).
Gyrene
Isn't the L for Length in calibers? i.e: A 45mm L/30 would be a gun of 45mm with a 1350mm long barrel? Gyrene
Malakovski
Yes, if I recall correctly, the number refers to the length of the barrel in calibers, that is, compared to the diameter of the gun. So the 75mm L/24 (just making that up, don't know if one really exists), would have a barrel 24x75mm=1800mm long. Long barrels indicate a gun meant for accuracy. High muzzle velocity is also a key indicator, since it doesn't make a difference how fast an HE shell is going when it explodes. After that, the important thing is what the shameless self-promoter said
