Clinton
For some reason when I hit Shift Y I do not see the FPS anywhere? Anyone else?
Schrullenhaft
Probably because the code for the FPS counter doesn't exist in the final version. It's not a feature that BTS/BFC intends to support. If you really want a FPS counter you can use FRAPS.

Clinton
Just wondering if I could get an official answer.
Madmatt
The frame counter was removed after the manuals were written (its a debug tool). Madmatt
Danzig
Somtimes I wonder about people's fascination with FPS count. I mean the game either looks good or it doesn't. I know people who play shooters and keep the FPS up the whole time, just so they can blame an untimely death on a dip in their FPS...
Commissar
I can see the necessity for a FPS counter in a game like Quake or UT, but in CMBB? Is it running really slow for you or something?
Treeburst155
FPS count is interesting to computer enthusiasts. It's not how good it looks that matters. It's how much faster your machine is, than is really necessary for it to look good. Flight sim enthusiasts are the ones who really NEED an FPS tool IMO. Treeburst155 out. Clinton
Well the reason I was asking is because I noticed in the Demo that the Citadel mission when low to the ground and with all details maxed, got a bit choppy when panning and now that I have the full version the large Stalingrad Factory mission is unplayable due to so mush slowdown and choppyness. My comp specs are AMD Athlon 2000XP+ 512MB DDRAM Geforce 4 Ti4600 Asus A7V333 MB 7200RPM 80GIG HD Plextor Plexwriter 40/12/04 If I had the FPS scale I could check and see what tweaks might get me a better framrate on such missions. I know about programs that will do it, but it is just a nice feature that pretty much any game includes nowadays. No big deal just wishing
