Seems likely that drop-outs and other malfunctons would be pretty common, as well. These weren't solid-state devices. I dont know if they can but I hope the BTS people though of that. Because, given the 650m command range radio-equipped AVs currently possess, there's not a great deal of incentive to maintain platoon cohesion.
