junk2drive
I have a PC. I made a battle. I send it to a friend with a Mac. It crashes his system. I send it again in a zip. Same. Any ideas?
Schrullenhaft
You're both on the same version of the game, correct ? I'd suggest opening the game yourself to make sure that you don't get the same behavior. Possibly open up the game in the editor, change something, and save it again. Try it out again to make sure that it doesn't crash for you. Does this scenario have large maps or a lot of units ?
junk2drive
I opened the zip and extracted the file to a different install on my system. (i have 3 CMAKs on two drive letters.) It opened fine for playing. I started the game in the original install it was fine. Small map, infantry only, light snow, night, clear. maybe 4 companies combined. Both 1.01 afaik. I sent it on to another friend, waiting for feedback.
junk2drive
I sent a and b files to a mac user and a pc user. mac could play b not a pc could play a not b GJK suggested my bmp mods can effect the files. All my CM's are modded. Should I not share game files?
Schrullenhaft
'Mods' should not matter when it comes to scenarios and ops. The files stay strictly on your machine and don't get transferred over to the other player. The scenario/op files only contain data that has no bearing on mods installed on one computer or the other. What were the differences between files 'a' and 'b' ?
junk2drive
The battle itself, month, units, size of map. Countries year and weather the same. A axis attack B ME GJK had no problem with A on a PC. He pointed out a comma in the file name may do something on Macs. I renamed A and resent to the Mac. I sure hope they pay you for all your work here.
Pzman
That would do it for a Mac. You can use commas in folder names, but they can cause problems with files on the Mac side. I also have the same problem that you have with some battles in the past: meaning that some people could play a file while others could not.
