David Stone
Bear with me here, I am a computer novice of the worst kind. I have never played a CM TCP/IP game before, and would like to know how I find my IP address? The internet games I have played before made this idiot proof (AOK)-- but in CM, I do not know what to do to connect to/find a multiplayer TCP/IP game. Incognito
Should't thi'be on tech forums or sumfing? Find perform button or sumfink liek that on yar Start Menu. Type out WINIPCFG or if ya got winxp (or win 2000)Then I'm not so sure I haven't got either but if I remember right then it's changed to ipconfig. Redwolf
CM will display it, but it may not be correct if you are using NAT or similar masquerading. http://www.whatismyip.com/ will display where you read webpages from, but you may access webpages through a proxy. Usually it is correct, though.
Firefly
If you're using Win XP, you can also right click on the connection icon (it looks like two monitors) in the Control Tray on the bottomright of the screen, select 'Status', then click on 'Details'. I can't remember if this was the same in Win 9x. [ December 08, 2002, 07:13 AM: Message edited by: Firefly ]
