Kingfish Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Looking for 1:25,000 scale maps of Normandy, particularly the Villers Bocage / hill 112 / Baron area. I'm thinking there are a few old timers here who no longer play / design for CM, and have used IGN Blue series maps laying around. E-mail me if you want to unload them. 0 Quote

Be aware that the terrain around V-B has changed quite a bit since June 1944 (partly courtesy of Bomber Command). All the best, John. 0 Quote
civdiv Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 This is a site I found last week. Probably not what you are looking for, but it does have a street map of Villers-Bocage. http://www.strategos.demon.co.uk/D-Day/Epsom.htm 0 Quote
Kingfish Posted February 12, 2006 Author Posted February 12, 2006 Thanks. I already knew of that one, and in any event I have all of Desert Fox's Operation Perch maps, so I'm well covered in that sector. I've changed my mind on what sector I plan on designing around, and am more interested now in the projected path of the 51st Highland division, as well as the 1st UK Airborne's LZs. The gears are turning 0 Quote

John Kettler Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Kingfish, The History Channel just reran D-Day: The Lost Evidence in which a wealth of previously unknown aerial photography figures prominently in reconstructing the invasion and the progress on the ground thereafter. Suggest that you contact the Channel and ask to be put in touch with the people who produced that program, for they can certainly direct you to the people with all that wonderful overhead imagery. Possibly, some here taped/Tivoed/DVRed it and can simply supply you with the name of the firm that actually made it, thus shortening your search process. Regards, John Kettler 0 Quote
