Two books for Michael Dorosh & Canadian Army grogs

Recommended Posts

Interesting books, John. Perhaps Michael can also comment on another issue. Some years ago I bought a book in Canada called 'Bloody Buron!'by John Gilbert (not to be mistaken with the other book with this title which I can't find no matter how hard I try). John Gilbert was also working on another book called 'Only death could land", about operation Windsor, the Canadian attempt to conquer Carpiquet airfield in July 1944. Since that time his website has gone down, and I never heard of him anymore. Has this book seen daylight by now, and if so where can it be found?

Aragorn2002,

Am starting to think it was a print run of one! Meanwhile, this seems pretty topical and has a great bibliography.

Above analysis is part of this larger, rich site.
