John Kettler Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Read either of these? Just found them while chasing something else down. STEEL MY SOLDIERS' HEARTS http://tinyurl.com/2y79tc TALES OF A TANKMAN: BETWEEN THE BATTLES http://tinyurl.com/2efw2r Regards, John Kettler 0 Quote
Aragorn2002 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Interesting books, John. Perhaps Michael can also comment on another issue. Some years ago I bought a book in Canada called 'Bloody Buron!'by John Gilbert (not to be mistaken with the other book with this title which I can't find no matter how hard I try). John Gilbert was also working on another book called 'Only death could land", about operation Windsor, the Canadian attempt to conquer Carpiquet airfield in July 1944. Since that time his website has gone down, and I never heard of him anymore. Has this book seen daylight by now, and if so where can it be found? 0 Quote

Aragorn2002 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Yes, John, but there's not a copy available anywhere, from Snowie, that is. It's easier to find the Holy Grale. 0 Quote
John Kettler Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 Aragorn2002, Am starting to think it was a print run of one! Meanwhile, this seems pretty topical and has a great bibliography. http://www.valourandhorror.com/P_Reply/Normandy.php Above analysis is part of this larger, rich site. http://www.valourandhorror.com/DB/index.php Regards, John Kettler [ May 17, 2007, 02:50 PM: Message edited by: John Kettler ] 0 Quote
