Der Kuenstler
How do you get them to fire the flame instead of the HE? I forgot..
bitchen frizzy
IIRC, select "MG Only" for option to use the main gun. Or I could be wrong. Been a long time.
Cuirassier
I think flame is fired automatically, provided the target is in range and within the traverse limits of the flamethrower.
Bert Hamoen
If I remember correctly the way to fire the flamethrower is to target "area fire" and when the question comes "use main weapon ?", you choose "no".
John Kettler
Der Kuenstler, Bert Hamoen is basically right, though slightly off in detail. The OT-34's flame weapon is located in the hull, fitted where the bow MG normally goes. If you select the main gun (question says "gun," not "weapon"), you get the cannon, not flame. The same is true of the Crocodile in CMAK, and getting the switchology confused can cost you dearly in battle. Those of you who'd like to read about the OT-34 should find a copy of HSU Dmitriy Loza's FIGHTING FOR THE SOVIET MOTHERLAND and devour it. The book's incredible, and there's a whole chapter on the OT-34 in combat. Sivodsi
I have an idea that for bow mounted weapons you have to make sure you're not 'hull down' otherwise it won't fire.
