Sequoia
Hello. I'm looking to find what the front side and rear armour on a FT-17 is in mm. I believe John Kettler was doing some research on it. Actually what I'm doing is trying to come up with stats for all WWII AFV for the old SPI game "Tank!". I've found some of the values given in the game weren't quite accurate.

John Kettler
Sequoia, I frankly don't know what to make of some of the armor basis numbers in Kingfish's source. Am not exactly overflowing with FT-17 data, but I checked Milsom's classic RUSSIAN TANKS 1917-1970 for data on the first three Russian tanks KS-1/2/3, copies of the tank you're interested in. Turret armor is listed at 8-16mm, hull front at 16mm, with side and rear armor of 8mm and roof and floor of 6mm. My data list no armor slope numbers. This, though, which is part of a terrific Polish armor site, explains that most of the armor is vertical and goes into considerable detail. http://www.geocities.com/pibwl/ft17.htm Jackpot! This info on the U.S. versions of the FT-17 should give you pretty much all you need. http://afvdb.50megs.com/usa/m1917.html Regards, John Kettler
