TheCrow
If we think in armor protection, gun power, and mobility, terms. It´s difficult to refute: That in CMBB like in real combat, T34/85 and Panther are the best tank choice, than you can buy by default. do you are agree?
Guest Panzer Boxb
I would agree in general terms that for the majority of engagments the T-34/85 and Panther are the best bang for the buck for their respective sides.
Dr. Rosenrosen
The real answer to this is the "different tanks for different situations" appraoch. However, i agree that these two are good all-around tanks for most conditions. (Give me a flammpanzer or something with canister for the night, thick fog maps.) Speaking of canister, I usually go with the T-34/76 instead of the T-34/85 because the former has canister ammo available to it. I prefer to have something nice to share with the enemy infantry unless I'm expecting the Germans to have the heavy stuff armor-wise. For similar reasons (and for point savings, i believe), I have regularly chosen to use captured T34s as the Germans instead of getting Panthers. MikeyD
I've never had the opportunity (after all these months of playing) to try out the T-34 successor... the T-44, is it? Sounds like the best of the T34-85 plus the ability to take a hit. A bit gamey, though, since its didn't see much or any combat.
Abbott
It is hard to refute the Panther as the finest tank in the world up until the mid 1950's. However I still prefer the Tiger I in most instances where these vehicles are available to me. With the Stug IV’s a very powerful combination.

You should try a couple for jollies. I do not recall them being that much more survivable than the T-34/85 in "normal" engagements under 1,500 m against Panthers but I could be mistaken.
