GRUMLIN
Quick help needed guys - If i do a preplanned barrage for turn one, do i need LOS? If not, how much drift am i going to get, and is it linked to the spotters experience level? Grum

Cpl Carrot
You do realise that any knowledge gained in these forums can not be used in the Onion Wars, don't you?
CombinedArms
Is there any reason not to buy conscript FOs if one intends to use them in a pre-barrage? And btw, does experience level count with FOs for speed or accuracy when they target a TRP?

MikeyD
Sometimes it seems the ONLY way to guarantee your artillery is going to fall where you want it is to do an opening barrage! On several occassions I've looked at a map, guessed the logical route the enemy would take (like behind a hill out of LOS), then pointed an opening barrage there with a 9-10 turn delay. When it works it works. You idea about cheap conscript artillery dedicated to opening barrages is a good idea.
