markshot
I am confused. Why do the half tracks in this scenario show neither that they are under the command of a HQ unit or list as being independent in their description? Are they considered part of the infantry OOB? Thanks.
jKMkIII
I don't think halftracks can be bought as platoons like tanks, so they can't be HQ/independent. But they can be bought as part of infantry battalion, so they can be part of infantry OOB.
markshot
I have had HT which were part of a platoon and had an HQ.
Pzman
Only Assualt HTs can be part of a platoon. IE 251/9s I believe. [ July 15, 2003, 06:21 PM: Message edited by: Panzerman ]
flamingknives
Looks like an HT from an armoured PzGr unit. The HTs are organic to the infantry platoons in terms of organisation, but I think that they are effectively independent. In addition, if you look at the vehicles purchase list, the text for some is dark blue, while the rest are light blue. The dark blue ones can be bought as platoons. Includes pretty much any armoured HT with a half decent gun (bigger than an MG), but not mortars.
