General Mayhem
After applying the patch I received an error message on the direct X. I don't have the exact message, but it concerned the map. This did not occur before applying the patch. The error message occurs when I attempted a tcp/ip game. It does not occur on AI games or hot seat games. The game was also having sound break on the intro. I applied Huberts solution and renamed the files so it doesn't play the intro music. My PC is only a year old. It is a pentium 4 with a 3.06ghz and 448 ram
Hubert Cater
General Mayhem, was this TCP/IP error encountered when playing in 2-D mode? Did you ALT-TAB as that is still not supported during TCP/IP? Were you able to keep playing in a subsequent game? Hubert
General Mayhem
Thanks for responding Hubert. The answer to the questions are: 1. No, we were attempting to play in 3-D. 2. No, we did not use alt-tab. 3. I was able to play a game in hotseat and against AI, but on several attempts not able to play a new game against TCP/IP opponent.
Hubert Cater
1. Which campaign and which side were you playing as? 2. Do both you and your opponent have v1.01 patch installed?
General Mayhem
I was playing Allies Yes we both have the patch. Tonight I did not get the same problem. Tonight it was an I/O. We checked the IP addresses and firewalls. It all looked correct. Then we tried it one last time and it worked. Go figure. Thanks for your assistance Hubert!
Sombra
Since applying the latest patch the game doesn´t like it at all if you use the windows key to minimize the screen. The game crashes nearly immediately. Kind of strange becaue before you you tap out of the game and if you were back before the other side sended the turn everything was fine. I noted that suddenly sometimes background music (windows media player) stutters. Don´t know the internal changes in 1.02 but at least for me the game runs less stable.
Hubert Cater
Sombra, there haven't been any new introductions that I can think of that would have an effect on the items you are reporting... any chance you made any new installations related to Media Player or other applications that might be having an effect?
