Error: Socket Expired

This message pops up then my friend and I try to connect to each other. Only once we managed to connect and play after several error messages.

Tonight we didn't manage at all. :-(

Have anyone had the same problew and/or (even better) got a solution for it?

I guess your router is configured the right way?

One think I noticed is that the game does´t like to "Alt - TAB" . Another player had the same problem with me. The solution has been to write down the IP /send it to your friend and restart SC2 afterwards. Then it worked

This sounds like a Firewall error. I would suggest taking a look at the Network (TCP/IP) troubleshooting guide of the User Manual to see if it might help.

Thanks Hubert for your answer. It turned out it was something wrong with the save file. We were able to start a new game, but not the saved one.

The only reason for this we could figure out was that the one what joined saved the game, not the host. Could that be the explanation?

While the saved game shouldn't have caused an error on its own, you might not be able to initially host if you are on a home router as you need to adjust the settings on your router to allow you to do so... or it could have just been a firewall... one of those things that is hard to say without knowing all the details or system settings.
