Iron Ranger
In any custom sanerio play I was woundering if it would be better to Reduce US IT tech to 0 but provide them with an extra 3 chits that must be placed in IT and could not be removed till it reached L5. If they chose to also place thier starting 2 in IT they would have the max of five. This would, with in the limits of SC, simiulate the buildup of US industry to it total war mentality. Combine this with a HR of a max of 2 chits in any one tech for all other nations and the Allied player could see some real advantages in doing this. (the lone expection would be the USA IT - max 5)
Bill101
This sounds like an idea worth trying out!
pzgndr
The problem is that max US buildup with IT only amounts to 25% anyway, which isn't much and isn't guaranteed with random research results. You may want to consider leaving the US as is or even increasing at-start IT. HR limiting Axis to no more than 1 chit (or no chits) in IT would delay catch up and give US a long-term economic benefit. That may be the effect you're really looking for. Shaka of Carthage
japinard You use the Campaign Editor to modify the beginning tech levels and the number of chits a nation has. "extra 3 chits, placing it in IT and cannot remove until reach level 5" Thats a House Rule that the player has to follow. There is no way to do that automatically in SC.
