JAK
Does anyone know how to fix it so that fog is displayed? I have a Direct 3D card and it also has trouble showing smoke all the time.
Wayne
You need a card with more than 16MBs of memory. I needed a 32MB Nvidia card to display fog. ------------------ Blessed be the Lord my strength who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight. Frenchy
Try installing the latest drivers for you card. Also do a search on this topic. A few people had this problem with several different cards. You may also want to post your message in the Tech Support Forum. ------------------ Webmaster http://www.trailblazersww2.org http://www.vmfa251.org

If you have something of the above mentioned specs, you may have the "fog table emulation" option turned off. Go into your display settings and locate a check mark box for fog emulation. MERC
Also if you have a ATI card on a PC - forget it, ATI won't support fog.
Guest Der Unbekannte Jäger
MERC is correct some ATI cards do not support the type of fogging method CMBO uses. ------------------ "...come from the sea with nitroglycerine, nitroglycerine and a ladder of rope, and a thing called hope..." Seahawk-vfa201
I do have now a Voodoo 5500 but I previously had an ATI 128. ATI does *beautifully* support fog and transparency without anu problem. Which ATI cards are you talking about: it might be so that you hd experience with low memory instead. Guest Der Unbekannte Jäger
IIRC CMBO uses an older Fog Table system, which unfortunatly some ATI cards do not support (they use a strict vertex based system).
quote:
Originally posted by Seahawk-vfa201 ...it might be so that you hd experience with low memory instead.

On a 64mb card I would say no. (I am using a Radeon64mbVIVO) ------------------ "...come from the sea with nitroglycerine, nitroglycerine and a ladder of rope, and a thing called hope..." deanco
Maximus has got it right. The fog table emulation thing fixed my problem with that. I'd say try that first. ------------------ DeanCo-- CM interface mods: http://mapage.cybercable.fr/deanco/ so many games...so little time
