Panzer Leader
You know what would be cool? A utility to convert the movie files into an mpgeg or avi or some kind of video. As it is, even if we do get a full-movie playback, do to the camera (panning, zooming, etc.) it would have to be done THROUGH the Game, and from the size of the movies, a full 30 turn game might reach sizes of 30mb or more. I just think it would be cool to make your own war movies using footage from your own game. Then you could add voice-over etc. Wouldn't that be NEAT?? WWB
Well, that will likely not happen, because mpeg encoding algorithyms (sp?) are either expensive to license or very time consuming to make. You can still use something like Quicktime pro to record a movie, but you have to do the directing 'ingame.' WWB
Freak
hey wwb, do you remember or know of any documentation on how to do this? (recording in QT pro, or some other method of recording a movie in CM?)
WWB
I do not remember any documentation or instruction offhand. But there is a CM movie project on the web, but unfortunately the URL is at home. I do remeber hearing that it took serious horsepower to do (i.e. a dual proc G4 or better). WWB

ryddle
<lurking off> Heck, I would like to see a full scen movie w/o any fog of war. T'would be cool to view a battle from all sides seeing when your opponent responds to your actions. Cheers, -R <lurking on>
