Joey Ramone Lives
When im playing a really hilly level, i notice that my troops dont shot up towards hills and arty spotters have no LOS. i mean in real combat you might just see part of the unit and still fire. input? M Hofbauer
I didn't get to that level yet. Is it a secret level, or a bonus level? what hack did u use to get there? or do I have to stomp/shoot some magic mushroom?
ParaBellum
When reading through that post again, I realized it really didn't contain any serious information. Blame it on the Beaujolais Primeur.... [ 11-29-2001: Message edited by: ParaBellum ]</p>
Radar
Well, I can say that LOS is abstracted. You aren't seeing 'half' of nothing. LOS would be a ray (line) traced from your unit to a point in question. This visual quality can be degraded and/or blocked by terrain features like trees, hills and etcetras. The line you trace will go from several shades of blue, where its good, to red and black where its completely blocked.
Herr Oberst
Forget all of them. Your problem is that you haven't fired off the triggers properly. On each map, find the northwestern most building. Yup, that's it. Now here's the key part, if you are playing as the Allies, you *must* use a short 75 Sherman, and take down the building with two, count them, 2, HE shots. More or less and the trigger won't fire properly. (If playing as the Krauts, you *have* to use the early PzIV with the short 75mm and 2 shots). Once the building goes big and 'splody, run one of your FO's (no other Infantry unit will do) to the rubble to pick up the IR goggles that will be spinning in the air just above the rubble. Then snow, rain, or night will not hinder your FO's Line of Sight (LOS). Rumor has it that one of the major improvements coming in CMBB with regards to rubble and its new implementation is that you'll be able to pick cooler things like a BFG from destroying these "secret" buildings...
