c3k
Gentlemen (and the rest of you), I've been playing around with making up my own scenarios and have run into a problem. How do I set the units up in a "default" position? By this, I mean something similar to regular scenarios. When you play versus the computer, you get an option for unit placement to be either computer selected or "scenario default". I cannot find out how to do this within my own scenarios. Units are always bunched up in a setup zone. (For the terminally smart-ass: search didn't work, I did read the manual, I tried every button combination within the scenario editor.) Michael Dorosh
Place command works better, if your troops are already facing the direction you want them facing (otherwise, MOVING them causes it to ask you each time to rotate them). I hope CM2 has a simple click and drag feature rather than having to use that unwieldy menu and have to click twice for each unit.
c3k
D'OH!!! Thanks. Now I see what needs to be done. Generate/creat map. Select units. Go BACK to map, select "Preview", and now you can see the units on map and move them as needed. Thanks! MikeyD
Michael, you think CM's menu iS unwieldy? They keyboard commands are posted next to the menu commands. to place click on the unit, hit the letter P and click on to the new location. That's as close to 'drag & drop' as anyone could hope for.
