Thermopylae
Ahh the germans developed an anti-mass spectromtere! Now they can hold 5 1000 kg bombs in one stuka! And they fall perfectly straight!
iggi
Hear the grognards roar! Sheesh, what's important is will it be fun. Red alert was a blast in multiplayer in its time. Let's try a demo and see if it's fun. I'm sure no one is saying it is realistic.
Thermopylae
But pretending to grog is fun! When a friend descibed RA 2 tactics to me I was constantly irritating him... Friend: You dig in some GIs, and they will slaughter russian tanks. Me: Oh, some of them get AT rocktes..cool..you have to wati for the tanks to pass and shoot them in the flank right? Friend: No, they use Machineguns. Me: Bah! the tanks will just use their machineguns and cannon to rip them apart while bullets spatter off thier armor! Friend: Grrr.... iggi
The vehic types do seem out of place. Aren't those corsairs attacking stukas? This looks like a real time game thats all. It will live or die on being fun, not accurate. Screenshots are from http://www.ga-strategy.com/
The Commissar
From the brief explanation below the screenshots in the previous link... "In World War II: Europe in Gunfire players can choose from three of the most powerful military nations of that era: England, Germany, and the US." That's right kids, those were the THREE most powerful nations of WW2! What's that? The USSR?! Those guys had an army back then? ------------------ "...Every position, every meter of Soviet soil must be defended to the last drop of blood..." - Segment from Order 227 "Not a step back"
