Will it really be called "Combat Mission"?

Recommended Posts

With the final release of CM around the corner (hopefully), I'm curious if the game will keep the title Combat Mission, or will it be something a little more spiffy, or with a fancy sub-title that will catch peoples attention?

Just curious.

Sub-title will be Beyond Overlord.

So the full title is...

"Combat Mission

Beyond Overlord...

Beyond the comprehension of Dave Dial."

Just cut and paste that, centre it in Word and that's what the title will look like.

FWIW I hear that the 3rd line just MAY be subject to change wink.gif. (First two lines are correct though.)

It should be called: Combat Mission: The Game that Was So Late That It Made The Whole Computer Industry Die In Five Years And Now We Are Playing Combat On Atari 2600 biggrin.gif

or(for short)

Combat Mission: TGTWSLTIMTWGIDIFYANWAPCOA2600

PS. I believe if a game did come out with a title this long, the gaming industry would die!!!! smile.gif

How about:

"Combat Mission

Beyond the PC...no really, this is the last game ever for the PC...seriously...stop laughing...I'm not kidding".

Maybe BTS could have a special Dave Dial edition which would include a mint condition Mattel Intellivision.

Hey now, Don't be ripping on the Intellivision! They had a cool B-17 game with actual crew SPEACH even back then!

WATCH OUT FOR FLAK!!!!

Now the Odyssey II, that was one powerful rig! wink.gif

Hey, I had an Odessey II! What did it have, 4-bit graphics? An 0-1 for being on and a 0-1 for what color it was? smile.gifsmile.gif

Remember the ol' Quest for the Rings game? Now that was HOT **** back in '81! And Pick Ax Pete, a Donkey Kong clone! What about Munchkins, the venerable Pac-Man clone.

How 'bout Combat Mission coming out on Super Nintendo and call it Super Combat Mission: Beyond 16-bits! But we couldn't forget Combat Mission 64 biggrin.gif
