Flamethrower Question

Once I successfully get my Flamethrower

unit(s) into position and targeted

(something that is rarely successful)

They use all their "ammo' in that one turn

How do I keep them from using all their ammo on one target?

I want to use one or two "squirts" per target

then save the remainder for another target

Flame throwers only have a few squirts in them. I may be off here, but I think it is something really low like nine seconds worth.

It has been thirty years since I touched one, but I remember it being heavy, bulky, cumbersome and short on staying power (ammo).

That is why tanks were outiftted as flame throwing vehicles, because they could haul around all that heavy, specially treated gas.

Later, APC's were so equipped and were called ZIPPO's, after the commonly used cigarette lighters that so many soldiers carried.

Both the Sherman version and later the M113 APC(1960's-70's) were special targets of the enemy...and they made one hell of a sight when they blew up.

Umm, that is NOT what the Target Next key is...

Target Next is just a quick and dirty way for units in GOOD Moral/Suppresion to togggle through all their valid targets in LOS.

Thats all... It has NO bearing on target prioritization what so ever. Which ever enemy you select with the Target Next key is the one in which it will enage in the next turn.
