Tom Callmeyer
Anyone know how to interperet the special quality icons in the HQ Unit Display Panel that opens at the bottom of the screen when a HQ unit is selected? I mean the symbols like the heart and the lightning bolt that is displayed for HQ units only. Thanks Tom
Doug Beman
I think this was covered. Have you tried the search engine? I haven't tried in a while, but last time I did it worked pretty well. DjB
Justin Hoerter
There is a verbal equivalent in the unit screen (accessed with 'enter'). IIRC: lighting = combat, heart = morale, and the other is for concealment bonus. These come in either +1 or +2 flavors, with the boxed icon being +2. I assume the leader must be in contact in order to convey the bonus(es). As far as actual effects, this may be a bit harder to pin down since there are so many other variables. This has been talked about a little in the past, but I don't recall the heading it had. Justin
Moon
Actually, there are four leader ratings - command, morale, combat and stealth. 0 means average, +1 means good and +2 means excellent. Command has a direct influence on the command radius of the HQ unit, morale keeps the troops within range from panicking and rallies them faster, combat has (I think) an effect on the firepower and stealth helps guys ordered to ambush to stay calm and not fire too early. Uh, that's a quick and dirty description anyway
Justin Hoerter
Ahh.. right, dropped the command modifier. Thanks Moon. Justin
guachi
With a little experimenting you can figure out what the command radius is and how the command bonus affects it. The +1 and +2 bonuses are DEFINITELY worth it. Jason
