Beowulf
Been playing wargames since my ASL days as a teenager and recently dugout CC3 with some MODS while waiting for CM. While playing, it struck me how much I missed seeing if an AFV was buttoned up. A simple feature, but pretting dang cool. Ever hear the hatch go down in CM with a solid clunk? What other "one cool feature" have others noticed? It's all in the details!

PanzerShark
Well, one thing i replayed over and over and over, was when i charged 3 squads in the woods. When the squads noticed eachother they started lobbing grenades like madmen. Grenades were flying all over the place. It must have been about 10 or so Kinda reminded me of the mg42 assault in SPR (the one in the meadow). Also i liked it that much since the 3 german squads where blown to tiny pieces while my men were only a bit shaken. I was going to give them some shiny medals if that Stug hadn't found them
jdmorse
Last night the AI sent an allied squd into the Woods in CE. Right into the area of three squads w/ panzerfausts. Suddenly all three squads let go w/ the pf's at the same time. Smoke and roaring sound. I initially was watching a battle at the church and heard a really loud rushing sound and went looking to see what had hapened. Blew the allied squad all to hell and the dazed surviviors were quickly dispatched. Took all of maybe 4-5 seconds or less and no more probe into the woods! sniperscope
Panzershark, that is what won me over. I also saw the same thing.I had to replay it over and over. Also, I saw an MMG use dead bodies for cover. My PBEM opp. pointed it out to me. I guess when you are in the pot with lead flying you will do anything to stay alive. Love this game. sniperscope

kump
Two nights ago (VoT vs AI) I had my full strength platoon (3xsquads, 1xHQ squad) of engineers occupy a two story building in the village. First squad entered and went to the second story and positioned itself. Platoon HQ came and positioned in middle of first floor. Second squad came in and walked to corner of first floor, but while doing so, a hidden german squad on first floor of same building magically appeared beside my engineer squad and opened up! OUCH!!! Obliterated my HQ unit and shot up the 1st floor squad down to one man. But the amazing thing was while it was shooting at the 1st floor engineer squad, it tossed a grenade up to the second floor to the other engineer squad!!! Double OUCH! And then the remaining engineers on the top floor responded with a satchel charge, which really got german squad's attention. My third engineer squad finally entered the building and chucked grenades and fired point blank at the now pretty shaken german squad. One surviving german finally routed away, but that ambushing squad cost me plenty, one eliminated HQ squad and one and half engineering squads. That is 8 lousy bush wacking germans for 23 american engineers. House to house is dangerous!!! I LOVE THIS GAME!!! ------------------ Garry Kump

Havermeyer
In CE I rushed a Stug loaded with an HMG and 1/2 green squad, plus ran a squad of vets across the road and into the far left deep woods across the road (the forest almost creates a garage to hide the Stug on the german left flank). With the HMG and 1.5 sqads prepared to create a murderous field of fire on the american right flank between the forest and the copse of trees-- I bided my time. When the remaining sherman had finished off the 2nd to last Stug (shocked and incapable to kill its 3rd (and last) Sherman)-- it turned to open up on the church-- and sat there lovingly sihloutted with a broad starboard side for targeting. I opened up on the exposed troops and moved the stug from behind the trees fast and into firing position. When the Stug fired up the noise had to have gotten the americans attention, only to watch them turn into a hale of bullets. The Sherman couldn't swing its turret fast enough and maneuver for cover fast enough-- plink gone. First true ambush I've pulled off-- and it was luscious. Awesome game. KiloIndiaAlpha
You can see the difference between US and German grenades. They really are stick grenades... ------------------ Dulce Et Decorum Est
waffen
its all the small details that add so much weight to CM .now all the balistics etc are number 1 to get correct but with them worked out i hope that BTS work on adding more detail to the upcomeing patchs or for CM 2. 1 when buildings get hit i would like to see a damaged wall or two standing for cover. and as the damage on the building happens it would be great to see holes etc in the walls. a must have is trenchs for the russian winter campaign.and some russian tank ambush tactics like digging pits put your tank in, cover it with tree branchs then a layer of snow .all of sudden a russian tank bursts out of nowhere . would also like to see mines going off when someone stumbles into them. camo bonus maybe you could add extra camo to a AT gun etc in the form of a few bushs that would give extra bonus makeing them harder to spot ill shut up im getting carried away .i must say as the game stands its amazing and will get better and better with time thanx BTS
