umm... We prefer the Cesspool or mutha of a bueatiful thread.

And yes, as the Cesspool is considered the lifesblood by some, it is worth reading. Or at least skimming through. Or ignoring.

Basically It can be summed up as this. It is a thread where people who PBEM go to taunt their foes and belittle them in front of all present. If you are man (or woman) enough to be drug over rusty blades, dunked in alcohol, belittled and be spat upon as you lose and it is made public. The Cesspool is for you. Of course you must possess character, humor, and a total lack of humility and kindness to fit in.

Well worth the experience. That which does not kill me makes me stronger. or some crap like that...

No, don't bother.

It's just people talking back and forth about two different types of little rodents: lemmings and something else.

Now people are posting to it just to see how many messages that thread can reach.

Well, I like that. And you a good Canadian lad, and all. Much of the Thread has been a stalwart defense of Canadians. Of course, a great deal more has been low and cowardly attacks on Canadians. We could use a few real Canadians showing up to defend their lovely nation. And its been days since there was any discussion of the rodent thing. The attention span of 'the Lads' is very short, and hamsters are on the backburner right now. They're back to doing what they do best: challenging each other to games, and calling each other all sorts of unbelievably foul things. For any 'English as a Second Language' peopel, just show up, explain your situation, and the increasingly multi-national Cesspool will either find some one to taunt and abuse you in your native language, or keep the basic concepts easy to grasp. We're a very welcoming thread, in a very unwelcoming way. smile.gif

The Peng Thread ("Cesspool" be damned, and Minnesota Joe too) is an indispensible part of the Combat Mission experience, if only as home to some artistic gems from yours truly. It is also rather funny in places, but it's not the same these days (what is?).

Ive found the denizens of that thread to be totally harmless, unless they are made to actually play cm then they become raving lunatics who descend into muttering over the complexitys of using computers, and harkening back to when they all had smileys until peng banished them to a darkened room.
