Jeeps and US 57mm AT Guns

So, in a previous post I'm playing the "Hot Time in Hatten" scenario. On the lower right hand side of the map are, among a MG, are two obscurely placed 57mm AT guns. I moved several jeeps there thinking I could attach them to the jeeps and move them elsewhere on the map. Nope. So in addition to no convoy icon, there would also appear to be no attach and tow icon. Am I missing something here????

You "should" be able to tow a 57mm. I'm rusty, but I think if you give the ATG element orders to board a vehicle, and the vehicle is capable of towing the gun, they'll hook it up and board, ready to drive off.

I think a jeep should be able to tow a 57mm/6lber, too, but I don't think I ever have, so maybe the game reckons the gun's too big... A truck or halfie certainly should be able to tow it.

You seem to be forgetting that a US 57mm ATgun has a six-man crew, and the Jeep only has five passenger seats. Therefore, in order to tow the gun you need to dismount the driver of the Jeep. Also keep in mind that you will need a second Jeep if you want to move the AT ammo bearers.
