I thought that if the CO is killed the unit cannot call or adjust artillery. Erwin Posted October 10, 2022 Author Share Posted October 10, 2022 This is a Brit Mortar HQ in CMFI. The HQ CO is KIA, but at no time did the HQ unit lose its ability to direct the onmap mortars. After a few turns I noticed that another person in this HQ unit is now the XO. Does this allow for indirect arty direction? I may be wrong about all of this, but I think if you split the HQ unit you get a CO team and an XO team? As far I recall either can direct proceedings if they both have comms. That's with larger HQ units anyway. womble Posted October 11, 2022 Share Posted October 11, 2022 Sounds like it's a display/UI data issue, and the XO who is present in the team just isn't displayed as such til his boss gets it in the neck.
