z1812
Hi, I just got around to applying the engine 4, and related version upgrades. If my Games Title screen shows the correct Engine and version numbers, can I presume the upgrades were installed properly? The reason I ask is that one of my opponents has also upgraded but I was not able to load his turn for one of the Games. Thanks for any information, John
Schrullenhaft
Yes, what the title screen reports in terms of Engine and version number should be correct. Is your opponent on the exact same version ? Perhaps have them regenerate the turn and see if that loads ?

Replaying the last good turn is exactly what we will try.
Schrullenhaft
I'm not always certain of the compatibility of an in-progress PBEM game and upgrading the engine. Typically I recommend against doing so, but some upgrades/patches in the past have worked with in-progress games.
z1812
Three titles have continued our PBEM's without a problem, using the save in Command phase as advised. However we are having a problem with CMRT. If it doesn't pan out....3 out of 4 is pretty good.
A Canadian Cat
Yes, one of the patches for CMRT caused saves and PBEM files to not move forward. Bummer but it happens. If you want to finish the game you can install the older game along side the new one. Just make sure you point the install program to a different location on your HD.

The last Battle was actually decided and playing it out would have not changed the outcome, so we started a new scenario.
