Bug?hopefully a one time glitch?

Recommended Posts

Maybe this is just with Hot Time in Hatten scenario, I dont know, I never have seen this before. Its a pbem. About 75% of my plotted moves did not move.

SPOILER.............................................

This did not happen until the 3 flame hetzers and co of engineers arrived. So I plot the 3 flame hetzers into the town using "quick" and the entire co of engineers I gave move orders. So the turn comes back and I view, In the watch phase the hetzers all move about 10secs then stop, the co never moves at all, when I end the watch phase and go into the next order phase, all of my original plot/order lines are still there.Does anyone have an explanation?I can provide the file.

Oh that sounds bad.  Let us know if it fixes itself.

How big is that scenario?  I have never looked at it.  If you can share a PBEM file (you can put it into our dropbox folder if you like) and PM me your pw and it would probably also help if your opponent could share his pw with me as well.  PM or email - which I believe you also have.  I promise I will not tell anyone either pw or spoil the game in any way.  :)

Did you just update your game using the patch?  That particular scenario was updated because of the graphic issue with the victory location in the German briefing.  I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I figured I would toss it out there.  If it is patch update related then hopefully it would go away when you do your next turn.  I know that in some cases with CMBN a player could get a weird jet noise that would drown out everything else for one turn and then everything would return back to normal when they would update in the middle of a game.  If your opponent is okay with it you may want to try loading the scenario up vs the AI and just run through the scenario up to the point where the issue happened to see if it happens again at the same point in time.

The scenario is also very large and it may also be difficult for some systems to run, but the point at which you have made it to is probably only about halfway into the full German OB.  I have to admit that I think it would be unlikely to be computer power related that early in the scenario but it is a possibility since I know some have had issues with it from a size standpoint later on.  I have to admit that I've never experienced the issue as described and I ran through the scenario more times than I like to admit.

  • 2 weeks later...

OK I have good news and good news.  1)  you are not crazy I can see it to using the save you gave me.  2) after 2.5 minutes everyone started executing their orders again.

I suppose the bad news is who knows if you will just run into it again or if it will be gone permanently.  So, to be honest what I actually did  was totally cancel all the orders for one of your vehicles and re-plot them.  Then 20s into that next turn everyone started following their orders again.

Either way I added the reproducible scenario to the already reported one.  Hopefully this one will carry more wait since it was half the size of the monster I saw it in earlier and is with a stock scenario.
