360 arc and facing

Do you know if assigning a facing cancels a 360 arc order? For example I would like to order a team to go to specific way-point and being there engage only in close range. But I would also like them to face at a particular direction when reaching that WP.

I believe they are mutually exclusive commands.  Easiest way to deal with it depending on time is to either have them approach the way point facing the direction you want then issue the 360 command or give them a command to move there with a face command then issue the 360 the next turn.  Personally if you are looking for them to ambush from that location I'd worry more about the 360 to prevent them opening up and giving away their position.

Yeah I've been wondering about this because I've had scouts in trees with tight 360 arcs on but none of them actually looking in the direction I really want them to look in one is normally facing to the rear and the other to the left or something.  However I don't want to take off the arc to give then face command because, knowing my luck they would spot something, open up, then die horribly from massed automatic fire.  Any good work around would be appreciated.

Indeed - that *is* what would happen :).  What you can do is give them a short target arc centred on the way you want them to face (i.e. not a circle but a wedge).  Then on a later turn go back to an circular arc.

My normal way of working is as @sburke suggested make sure the final way point has them team or vehicle arriving to their final location in the direction you want them to be facing.

start with the wedge Ian suggested then change to a 360 next turn.   That way you make sure they don't inadvertently give away their position.
