FroBodine
I just bought CMBS, and when I try to activate it, I get the "Cannot connect to the activation server". The help desk gave me one thing to try, disabling Norton virus checker and firewall. I tried both and I still cannot activate. Anyone else having this problem? This is so frustrating, and I think Battlefront's activation process is the worst in the business. If they trusted us who purchased their game more, there would never be this problem. I had to vent. I just want to play the game I bought.
dan/california
Turn off ALL your anti-virus and try again. If that doesn't work open a help ticket, the link is on the website, not the forum, yes, thats confusing.
FroBodine
I tried disabling everything and it did not help. I also opened a ticket, and they responded right away to try disabling my firewall and anti-virus. But, now they are not responding and it's frustrating. I just wanted to play the game before the night was over, and I have to work tomorrow. If they didn't have this silly strict activation process, like 95% of all other game companies, this would never be a problem. Battlefront.com
If you placed an order just as the server was going down, the number would not get registered correctly. Go to the Help Desk and file a ticket. I can get you up and running within a minute or two.http://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.comSteve
Bmackay11
All up and running now, thanks.
Battlefront.com
Excellent!Note that a few people who placed orders at just the wrong time will find their serial numbers are not registered in the activation server. If Server A is trying to send something to Server B when B is offline... well, it doesn't take an IT genius to understand that isn't a good thing! If you find your serial number is being shown as "invalid", this is what happened. Open a Ticket, provide your serial number, order number, and if it's Mac or PC and it's a problem that's easily fixed.Steve
