Basically I have not seen the movie Fury yet but it seemed to me this may be based on Lafayette Poole. I am posting here as I am not getting an answer from the old africa corps forums elsewhere on this board. jtsjc1 Posted October 24, 2014 Share Posted October 24, 2014 Amazing to me that a soldier like S/Sgt Pool did not receive a Medal Of Honor. Regardless of him not being an infantryman, the army made a big mistake not awarding him the highest honor. I believe he went above and beyond the call of duty.
