John Kettler
Find a two-part BBC One series called The Bomb Squad. A British C-IED (Counter--Improvised Explosive Device) unit, which hoofs it once inserted, is fitted with helmet cams and microphones (special dispensation from MoD) and sallies forth to deal with the most fiendishly designed and placed IEDs the Taliban can come up with. Hair-raising stuff. It is an intimate look at a mixed gender (she's an electronic warfare specialist, who's out there slogging like the rest) squad, seen from both a domestic and combat perspective. I've watched one of the two hour-long episodes, and it's an unsparing look at war and its cost. The prior squad lost three of seven before returning to the UK. One KIA, two WIA by traumatic limb amputations. Well worth your time and deep pondering post viewing. YT has it. Regards,
